Doc has a secret!

Can you guess what it is?
In April, we dished out weekly clues exclusively to our loyal Noodleheads so you're in-the-know before everyone else on the block.

The first to solve the weekly riddle wins a $50 gift card.  The first to correctly guess Doc's secret wins a $100 gift card!

Cracking the Clues & Announcing the Winners...

Clue #1: Rachel Cymber Esch was the first to guess
that “Mila Levogyre” was an anagram for “Emory Village”.

Clue #2: Our first clue was too easy, so we upped our game by posting a mysterious 6-second video clip as our second clue.  What do Maria Bello, Jonah Hill & Daniel Craig have in common?  They all star in movies with “Dragon” in the title -- The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, How to Train Your Dragon, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  This was a toughie, and nobody was able to break the code.

Clue #3: Several Noodleheads aced our crossword puzzle, but Tanya Myers was the only one who guessed "Dragon Bowl".  Crossword Answer Key: Dharma Initiative, Rambutan, Ayutthaya, Gangnam style, Omakase, Nigiri, Bento Box, O-Ren Ishii, Wax-on Wax-off, Lychee.  See how the first letter of all the answers spell out "Dragon Bowl"?!?!

And the secret is...
Emory Village...Dragon...Dragon Bowl...did you solve the riddle yet???  Nobody correctly guessed the big secret, but kudos & a $50 gift card prize to Rachel & Tanya, who were able to correctly solve the riddles behind clues #1 & #3.

So, what's the big secret?  Here goes...

This summer, Doc is unleashing the Dragon & opening a NEW restaurant concept...Doc Chey's Dragon Bowl!  Doc Chey's Emory Village will close on July 4th, and re-open in late July as Dragon Bowl.  For more info, visit www.dragonbowlatl.com

You Spoke. We Listened.

Doc Chey's Dragon Bowl is a response to the people's demands.

We took all the things you love about Doc Chey's (affordable prices, freshly made Asian food, good karma, neighborhood hospitality, Dragon Bowl specials), and took it to the next level based on your feedback:
  • Sustainable & Eco-Friendly: Our menu will result in less food waste and require fewer resources (gas, electricity, water).  We had made a commitment to compostable/recyclable take-out packaging and bowls made from renewable bamboo.  We believe being a responsible, sustainable restaurant is not only good for business, it is good for the community we serve and the world we share.
  • Locally Grown + Seasonal Ingredients: Our ingredients will be written in chalk for a reason: they will change with the seasons based on the freshest produce and ingredients available, choosing local whenever possible.
  • Healthy Balanced Food + Adventurous Ingredients + Craft Beverages:  Dragon Bowl's menu will be more current, inventive and adventurous featuring super-foods & ingredients like brussel sprouts, kale, quinoa, purple rice, bonito flakes, kimchi, ramen, pork belly & nuoc cham.  We will offer a changing selection of delicious, unique, organic iced teas and craft beverages made with real cane sugar (not corn syrup!) because we feel that they are a more healthful and tasty option than soda that comes from a box.
  • Funky Atmosphere featuring murals by local graffiti artist Rising Red Lotus
  • Extended Hours + Efficient Dinner Service: We are extended our hours to include Sunday lunch, and will offer counter service for both lunch and dinner to ensure a faster, more efficient service so you can spend less time waiting and more time enjoying your dining experience.

Survey Says...
In a survey of guests who ordered a Dragon Bowl, a big fat 100% said they'd order one again!  When asked if Dragon Bowls should be a regular menu item, 88% answered "yes".  The remaining 12% answered "not sure".  Respondents rated Dragon Bowls exceedingly high for freshness, value and flavor.  Translation?  They like 'em, the love 'em, they want some more of 'em.

Doc Chey's Seeking Artist

Doc Chey's is seeking an artist with a creative, funky, urban style (think graffiti, anime, manga, etc!). Must be able to work well with chalk (chalkboard sketches), and paint (large murals both inside the restaurant, and on exterior walls of building). This is a paid gig!
